About Us

The European Access Network encourages wider access to higher education for those who are currently under-represented, whether for reasons of gender, ethnic origin, nationality, age, disability, family background, vocational training, geographic location, or earlier educational disadvantage. The EAN is the only European-wide, non-governmental organisation for widening participation in higher education. Find out more here.

 

Located in south Dublin city,  University College Dublin is Ireland's largest university with over 30,000 students. It was founded in 1854 by Cardinal John Henry Newman and is ranked in the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide.

UCD is delighted to be collaborating with two sister colleges, the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) to bring a creative element to the 25th EAN Conference. 

The Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) is based in south Dublin city and has 2,300 full-time students from over 80 different nations. IADT has built an international reputation in the creative, cultural, entrepreneurial and digital media sectors and is also a valued educational and enterprise partner in Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown and the wider Dublin and East Coast region.

The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) is based in the historic Liberties area of Dublin city centre. It occupies a unique position in art and design education in Ireland offering the largest range of art and design degrees in the state at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
